Missionaries

The following missionaries are devoted to Jesus Christ and serve Him on a daily basis. Please take a moment to click on their pictures and visit their sites and to learn about them and what they are doing.

The Blanchard family are not only good friends from our own church, whom I believe I would trust with my life, but they are great servants of God and have as their first desire to serve Jesus Christ.

They are missionaries to Australia. Russel Blanchard insists that they are not going where the crocodiles are. They are going there to plant churches, as most missionaries do. The field is tough there and they know it, yet their love for the Australian people who need to know Christ is more important than any hardship they might face. Take a look at their site and see what they are doing.

The Coates family are a very special family who are also sent from our church. They are a very close family and have set their heart on a call to go to Guatemala, in the Fall of 2002. When this picture was taken, they just had a new arrival named Joseph.

This family will learn a new language, foreign to them, when they arrive in Guatemala. This will be hard and the area they are going to will be primitive. Their dedication to Jesus Christ is what will keep them going after they leave family and friends in the States to go to be with the Indians. Look at their site to learn more.

The Weaver family are the epitome of what is means to be dedicated to the missionary field. I just met them and found out that they have been in the field for over 35 years. They raised children in foreign lands, such as Colombia, and are now in the States doing missionary work in service to Jesus Christ for the Hispanics of North Carolina.

Jack Weaver is a dynamic preacher. He knows how to get at the depth of the Word of God and reveal it in a gentile manner and in a practical way. Please look at their site and learn more about them and what they are doing now.

The Cooksey family was sent to Sapporo Japan in 1996 and have since planted churches in order to follow faithfully their call to take the "heart of the Gospel to the heart of Japan." They seem to be a dedicated family who serve many functions and positions in the missionary field.

I hope to hear more about this family and that you will look at their site and write to them, when you can. Continue to pray for them and other missionaries who work for us to serve Him.

The Scalf family is one that amazes me. Edward Scalf is in his seventies and he and his wife Naomi have set out from Romania to sail the Adriatic and Mediterranean Seas in a cabin crusier to take the Gospel to the inlets and islands scattered through those parts. They are aware of the fact that it is God's desire that no man perish, but receive everlasting life.

The hard part for them is that it cost allot of money to keep those boat engines fueled and moving and they could, no doubt, use some support in this effort. They trust the Lord in this call. Visit their site.

Josh and Kerry Leise are missionaries to Indonesia. They are currently on deputation to raise support to go to the field. They weekly to all ends of the United States to churches to tell them about what they plan to do as missionaries to the Indonesians.

They have a real heart for the people of this area of the world. They will be a strong asset for God's work once they arrive there, planting churches, teaching, preaching, and spreading the Gospel message to the lost.

We hope to hear that they have all of their support very soon so that those people will get the benefit of their zeal for the Lord. To learn more about the Leises and what they are doing, Visit their site.
